Tell us what brought you here. Discuss your medical history, medications, and expectations, then ask which chamber settings and session plan would be appropriate for you.
The chamber pressure is gradually adjusted for the selected protocol. Follow the team’s preparation and safety instructions, and speak up about ear pressure or any discomfort.
Pressure is gradually returned to normal at the end of the session. Discuss your experience with the team before deciding whether to continue.
Oxygen. Pressure. Perspective.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) combines increased air pressure with oxygen delivery inside a chamber. In medical HBOT, that pressure helps more oxygen dissolve in the bloodstream.
At Premier Med Spa of Lake Oswego, HBOT is offered around wellness and recovery interests. What a session can do depends on the chamber, its settings, the oxygen being delivered, and your individual circumstances.
Our hard-shell chamber supports protocols up to 2 atmospheres absolute (ATA). Oxygen is delivered through a bag-valve mask, and sessions last 75 minutes, with monitoring by certified staff and a physician.
Our starting point is simple: your questions, clear expectations, and a suitability review. Wellness sessions should not be assumed equivalent to hospital HBOT or to treatment for a diagnosed medical condition.

What brings you here?
Six reasons people ask about HBOT. These are starting points for a conversation, rather than established medical indications or promised outcomes.
Curious about oxygen-based therapies as part of your wellness routine? Start with a conversation about what is known. HBOT has not been established to reverse or prevent aging.
If you manage an ongoing health condition, discuss HBOT with the clinician who knows your history. Benefit is not established for every chronic condition. Suitability depends on your diagnosis; HBOT is not a substitute for your medical care.
Make room to pause and ask whether a session fits your self-care goals. Benefits for everyday energy or fatigue have not been established for wellness HBOT.
Medical HBOT has specific uses for selected injuries and wounds. That does not establish effectiveness for general injury recovery or mean every chamber and protocol is appropriate.
If you have persistent concussion symptoms, keep your treating clinician involved. HBOT is not FDA-cleared to treat concussion or traumatic brain injury, and effectiveness remains unproven.
Active lifestyles can spark questions about oxygen-based recovery options. Evidence for improved routine post-exercise recovery is limited; discuss expectations before committing to a series.
Specific medical uses of HBOT do not establish that every chamber or wellness protocol is suitable for those conditions. Continue your existing medical care and involve your treating clinician when discussing a health concern.
Before you begin
Share your medical history, medications, lung and ear conditions, recent illness or surgery, pregnancy, diabetes, and implanted devices. A history of a collapsed lung is particularly important to discuss. Your clinician can help you understand whether oxygen and pressure exposure are appropriate.
Possible risks include ear or sinus injury, temporary vision changes, and discomfort in enclosed spaces. Less common serious complications can involve the lungs or oxygen toxicity. Oxygen-rich environments also require strict fire precautions.
Certified staff and a physician monitor sessions. Before booking, ask about your proposed settings, how to communicate during treatment, and chamber-specific preparation. Follow staff guidance about clothing, skin products, electronics, and prohibited items.
HBOT is not risk-free or suitable for everyone. The FDA emphasizes trained staff, supervision, and following the manufacturer’s safety instructions. This page provides general information, not a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation.
HBOT combines oxygen delivery with a chamber environment at higher-than-normal air pressure. In medical HBOT, pressure helps more oxygen dissolve in the blood. The effects and suitability depend on the chamber, pressure, oxygen delivered, and reason for treatment. Wellness protocols should not be assumed equivalent to hospital HBOT.
Premier offers a single-seat option for one person and a two-seat option that includes both people in the same session. Each person needs an individual suitability review. Contact our Lake Oswego team to discuss scheduling.
A session at Premier lasts 75 minutes. The hard-shell chamber supports protocols up to 2 atmospheres absolute (ATA), with oxygen delivered through a bag-valve mask. Certified staff and a physician monitor sessions. Your proposed schedule depends on your medical history and goals. A 10-session package is a pricing option, not a medical recommendation or a promise of results.
As pressure changes, you may feel fullness in your ears, similar to an airplane ascent or descent. Ear or sinus discomfort is possible. Ask about pressure equalization, communication with staff, and how to stop a session if you feel uncomfortable.
No. Tell the team about lung or ear conditions, recent illness or surgery, pregnancy, diabetes, medications, and implanted devices. A history of a collapsed lung is especially important. Pressure and oxygen exposure carry risks, so suitability must be reviewed before treatment.
Broad wellness benefits are not established. HBOT has not been established to reverse aging or reliably improve energy or general recovery. It is not FDA-cleared to treat concussion or traumatic brain injury. Specific medical uses of HBOT do not establish that a wellness protocol is effective for those conditions.
Get the chamber-specific preparation instructions from the team before your visit. Clothing, skin products, electronics, and other personal items may be restricted for oxygen and fire safety. Do not bring a phone, other electronics, or personal items into the chamber unless staff explicitly permits them under the manufacturer’s instructions.
