Cookie Policy Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how Premier Med Spa of Lake Oswego ("Premier Med Spa," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit https://go2medspa.com/ (the "Site"). It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, the categories of cookies in use, and the choices available to you regarding their use.
This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, which govern how we collect, use, and protect information more broadly. To the extent any conflict exists between this Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy controls with respect to the handling of personal information.
By continuing to access or use the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Cookie Policy. Where required by applicable law, your continued use of the Site, after being presented with this Cookie Policy, constitutes your acceptance of our use of cookies as described below. If you do not agree, you should adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies or discontinue use of the Site.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, smartphone, tablet, or other device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function, to operate more efficiently, and to provide reporting and analytics information to website operators.
We may also use related technologies such as web beacons, pixels, tags, local storage, software development kits (SDKs), and similar identifiers. For simplicity, this policy refers to all of these technologies collectively as "cookies."
Cookies may be:
- Session cookies, which are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser; or
- Persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
Cookies may be served by us directly (first-party cookies) or by a third party on our behalf (third-party cookies), such as an analytics or advertising provider.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- Enable core functions and allow the Site to operate properly and securely;
- Remember your preferences and settings;
- Understand how visitors find, navigate, and interact with the Site so that we can improve its performance and content;
- Measure the effectiveness of our marketing and, where applicable, deliver and measure advertising relevant to you; and
- Help us better understand the interests of our visitors and the demand for our services.
The specific cookies in use, and the third parties that may set them, are described in Section 3 below. We may add, remove, or change the cookies we use as our Site and services evolve.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
The Site uses, or may in the future use, the following categories of cookies.
| Category | Purpose | Examples / Providers |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Required for the Site to function, load pages, maintain security, and provide basic features. These cannot be switched off through our systems and do not require consent. | First-party cookies for site operation, load balancing, and security. |
| Analytics & Performance | Help us understand how visitors use the Site, which pages are most visited, and how to improve performance. Information collected is aggregated and used for statistical purposes. | Google Analytics (Google LLC) |
| Advertising & Targeting | Used to deliver advertising, measure campaign performance, build audiences, and limit the number of times you see an ad. May be set by us or our advertising partners. We may use these technologies now or in the future. | Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel |
| Functional | Remember choices you make to provide a more personalized experience, such as your preferences and region. | First- and third-party preference cookies |
Note: Google Tag Manager is a tag-management tool that helps us deploy and manage other cookies and tags described above. We currently use Google Analytics. We anticipate that Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel may be deployed on the Site in the future, and this Cookie Policy is intended to disclose their use upon implementation. We may update this policy when additional technologies are added.
These analytics and advertising services are provided by third parties who set their own cookies and process data in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies, including:
- Google – https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies and https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Meta (Facebook) – https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies/ and https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/
We do not control these third parties or their use of cookies, and their practices are not governed by this Cookie Policy. We encourage you to review their policies directly.
4. Cookies and Your Health Information
Premier Med Spa of Lake Oswego is committed to protecting the privacy of our patients and visitors. The cookies described in this policy are used to operate the Site, measure its performance, and support our general marketing efforts. They are not intended to be used to collect, store, or transmit information about your specific medical conditions, treatments, or appointments.
Any health-related information you choose to provide to us — for example, through a contact form, intake document, consultation request, or in-person visit — is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law, and not through the cookies described here. Please do not submit detailed medical, diagnostic, or treatment information through general website forms or other unsecured channels.
5. Your Choices and How to Manage Cookies
You have several ways to control or limit how cookies are used.
Browser settings.Most web browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies through their settings. The method varies by browser; please consult your browser's help section. Helpful guides are available for Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox. Please note that if you disable or delete cookies, some parts of the Site may not function as intended.
Google Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Google advertising. You can manage how Google uses cookies to personalize ads through Google Ad Settings at https://adssettings.google.com.
Meta (Facebook) advertising. You can manage your advertising preferences within your Facebook and Instagram account settings.
Industry opt-out tools. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from many participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance at https://optout.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative at https://optout.networkadvertising.org.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Because there is no consistent industry or legal standard for how these signals should be interpreted, the Site may not respond to all such signals. We will honor any preference signals to the extent required by applicable law.
Opting out of advertising cookies does not mean you will no longer see advertising; it means the advertising you see may be less relevant to you.
6. Consent
Where your consent is required by applicable law for non-essential cookies, we will obtain it in the manner required. In jurisdictions where consent may be implied, your continued use of the Site after being presented with this Cookie Policy indicates your acceptance of our use of cookies as described. You may withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your browser settings, using the opt-out tools described in Section 5, or discontinuing use of the Site.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because they are essential to the operation of the Site.
7. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, in technology, or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
